Vision for a Sustainable Tourism in the Danube

The tourism promotion project of the Maglavit municipality aims to highlight the historical, spiritual and landscape heritage of this old Olten settlement on the banks of the Danube.

By preserving local traditions, protecting the protected ecosystem of the Maglavit Basin and offering modern services for tourists, our community is building a warm destination and welcoming.

Project Objectives

Cultural & Spiritual Promotion: Enhancing the Maglavit Monastery and local history.
Sustainable Ecotourism: Protecting the biodiversity of the Danube protected areas.
Community Support: Encouraging local entrepreneurship and guesthouses family.
Tourist Digitization: Easy access to information, maps and services through the online platform.

Residents of the Maglavit commune can participate by offering agritourism accommodation services, selling traditional local products, tourist guiding and organizing folklore and religious events.

We encourage all visitors to respect nature, to maintain cleanliness in the avifaunistic protection areas of Balta Maglavit and on the beaches on the banks of the Danube.
